WHAT YOU CAN FIND AT VGBIL

   Books, periodicals, microfilms, microfiche, audiovisual media and videos, and rare editions in the humanities.    The Library is a big international cultural and research centre which is based on a public library of foreign literature covering the broad area of the humanities.    The Library holds more than 4.5 million items in 144 languages of the world, the accession rate being 90000 volumes of books and periodicals.

HOW TO REGISTER AS USER

   It is quite easy: you only have to bring your passport and your photograph. You can register at the registration desk on the ground floor of the cental hall. Children under 16 are required to have a photograph and are registered in the children's room on the third floor.

VGBIL USER'S CARD

    The VGBIL user's card enables its owner to use any literature held in VGBIL and in the libraries of the Cultural Centres. Please produce your card wnen entering the Library and when checking out books. If you lose your ticket you are requested to inform the attendant at the registry desk.
